The local high school in Shavington is running a project called LocalBiz. They are building and managing a community website, which contains a business services directory for the Crewe and Nantwich area. Companies and other organisations can advertise their services for free. The project is helping school children to prepare for the world of work.

The Charity Commission is established by law as the regulator and registrar for charities in England and Wales. It's twice-yearly newsletter is published at www.charitycommission.gov.uk and contains announcements of changes in organisation and other information to keep trustees up-to-date with the important issues affecting charities.
