Milldale
Milldale
is a camp site owned by the Scout Association. It's located about halfway between
Nantwich and Woore on the north-east side of the A51. Turn off the A51 into Mill Lane towards Blakenhall and the entrance to
Milldale is on the right. It's used by many of the local Scout groups and also by
other youth and leisure organisations such as the Potteries Orienteering Club.
The site comprises
three roughly equal areas. To the west there is an area of flat mature plantation mixed with rough open.
The south-east section is a area of open land used for camping. The north-east section is a zone of moderately
sloping ancient woodland. Running through the site is Checkley Brook. This is a large "brook" that cannot be crossed
except by the bridges.
There's parking for cars just inside the entrance.
